Naritasan Park is a traditional Japanese landscape garden beside Naritasan Shinshoji Temple in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. Created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as part of temple expansion, the park offers natural retreat for temple visitors and pilgrims. The design integrates traditional Japanese garden principles with natural topography through ponds, streams, bridges, and plantings. The adjacent Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, a major Buddhist temple founded in 940 AD, connects the garden to centuries of religious history. Together, the temple and park form a significant spiritual and cultural site.

The park demonstrates traditional Japanese garden aesthetics within a temple environment. Three ponds—Ryuochi Pond, Bunsuichi Pond, and Ryoguuchi Pond—connect through waterways, surrounded by walking paths offering varied scenic views. Seasonal plantings create year-round interest: cherry blossoms in spring, summer greenery, autumn maple colors, and winter snow scenes. Traditional bridges, pavilions, and stone lanterns accent the natural landscape. The 16.5-hectare park provides substantial green space in Narita City, creating contemplative areas between temple worship zones and urban surroundings.

Visitors walk paths circling ponds and traversing forested areas, experiencing designed garden perspectives. Paths lead to observation points with composed views of water, bridges, and seasonal vegetation. Ponds contain koi fish and waterfowl. Traditional stone and wooden bridges serve as crossings and photographic subjects. Seasonal visits differ: spring cherry blossoms attract crowds during bloom, autumn foliage draws visitors mid-November through early December, while summer and winter offer quieter periods.

The park is 10 to 15 minutes walking from JR Narita Station or Keisei Narita Station via Omotesando, a traditional street with shops and restaurants. From Tokyo, the JR Narita Express from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station takes 60 to 90 minutes, or the Keisei Skyliner from Ueno Station about 60 minutes. Narita International Airport is 15 to 20 minutes by train or bus. Admission is free, though temple donations may be requested for certain buildings.
