Peaceful escape from the bustle of Kyoto
One of the highlights of my visit to Kyoto was attending WAK Japan for an Ikebana demonstration with Mieko - a delightful, friendly lady with over 20 years experience who speaks very good English. She explained everything step by step and then I created my own arrangement with her expert guidance. She also showed me around this lovely historic building. If I’d had more time I would have tried calligraphy or a tea ceremony here. A lovely way to spend some quiet peaceful time away from the hectic city. Located near imperial palace gardens and there’s a super coffee shop nearby called School Bus. Highly recommended
