京都の三十三間堂は、その長い木造の本堂と千手観音の1,001体の像で有名です。寺院の名前は「三十三の間をもつ堂」という意味で、建物の支柱間の区切りの数を指します。この建築上の特徴が内部構造を独特に引き立て、日本で最も長い木造建築として知られています。

1164年に建立された三十三間堂には、日本仏教芸術の印象的なコレクションが収蔵されています。主尊は大きな座像の観音で、その周囲には千手観音の等身大の木造金箔張りの像が1,000体並んでいます。これらの像は十列二十八行に配置され、それぞれ異なる表情や姿勢を見せ、多彩な職人技を示しています。

三十三間堂を訪れる人々は、寺院の前で開催された行事を描いた蓮華王院の通し矢の作品にしばしば心を打たれます。この年中行事「通し矢」は江戸時代に始まり、現在も重要な文化的催しとして続き、伝統的な日本の弓道に関心のある参加者や観客を惹きつけています。

とにかく圧巻でした。隣県に居ながら今まで行った事なく、何故今まで行かなかったんだろうと不思議なくらいでした。堂内は撮影禁止のため写真には残せませんでしたが、しっかり目に焼き付けて帰って来ました。数年後、必ず再度見に来たくなるくらい感動しました。皆様、京都訪問時は是非訪ねてみて下さい。 拝観料：大人600円、うれしい事に平日だったのか駐車場🅿️無料でした。

京都を訪れる機会があれば、三十三間堂は必ず立ち寄るべき場所です。この寺院には、何世紀にもわたって丹念に作られた見事な金色の仏像が数多くあります。周辺は非常によく整備されており、さまざまな面で際立つ独特の魅力を感じられます。

1164年、名高い武将・平清盛が後白河天皇のために建立した三十三間堂は、主に千一体の観音像で知られています。慈悲の女神である観音は千手観音として描かれ、伝統的な長さの単位である「間」で三十三間にも及ぶ堂内に、綿密に整然と並べられています。

1,001体の黄金の仏像。

三十三間堂の魅力を探訪するには1時間あれば十分です。

1686年、紀州の和佐大八郎は、13,053本の矢のうち8,133本を的中させるという驚異的な偉業を成し遂げ、1時間に544本、つまり1分間に約9本という驚くべき速度を維持し、記録保持者としてその名を残した。

京阪七条から徒歩ですぐ到着。靴を下駄箱に入れて拝観。少し冷たい廊下を歩いて中に入って振り返ると目の前にまず風神様の力強いお顔。感動も束の間、その後ろに1001体の等身大観音様がいらっしゃることに気付いた途端、わぁ！と声が漏れるほどの世界が広がり、しばらく動きたくありませんでした。 京都でたくさんの神社やお寺に行きましたが、一番感動しました。

数十年振りに寄ってみました。近くでランチして七条駅に向かってる途中に寄る。混んでなく、すぐに入れました。のんびり見学できました。駐車場は空いてました。近くにあるトイレはウォシュレットも付いていてキレイなトイレでした。

映像や写真だけでは伝わらない迫力があります。 ぜひ実際に足を運んで体感してほしい場所です。 宗教的な背景はさておき、純粋に造形美や空間構成、芸術性という観点から見ても圧倒されます。 静寂の中に並ぶ像の迫力は、まさに唯一無二の体験でした。

拝観料は600円 ここは行って見た人にしか解らない凄さがある、千一体の観音様や天部の方々、如来様、菩薩様の像を観た時の圧巻、パンフや資料等の画では解らない、 例えば映画館で観る映画の臨場感と家で観るDVDみたいな違い。 京都に訪れて神仏に興味のある方は是非オススメ。拝観料も高くないし、内部の観音様を画に撮る事は禁止されているが安置されている三十三間堂の外側や庭園は撮影可能なので長いお堂を記念撮影も良いと思う
