Peaceful and educational!
Our group of 6 was joined by another couple, so there were only 8 of us, which made the ceremony intimate. Mayumi was wonderful, we learned a lot about the history of tea ceremonies and it was so peaceful watching her perform the ceremony. It was so fun getting the chance to make matcha ourselves as well. Both the tea and sweets were delicious!
A unique historical and cultural experience in the art of the tea ceremony in Japan
Masako explained the history and art of the tea ceremony well and showed us in detail how it is performed. The sweets that go with the tea were beautiful and each had meaning . We got to make our own tea at the end to practice. It was an enjoyable and educational experience for everyone
