GREENable HIRUZEN is an environmental complex facility originally designed as a temporary pavilion for events and performances in Harumi, Tokyo in December 2020, then relocated to Hiruzen-Kogen Highlands in Maniwa, Okayama in July 2021. The facility was designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma and serves as a base to promote sustainability awareness. Built using cross laminated timber (CLT) made from local Maniwa City timber, this innovative structure demonstrates sustainable construction practices while serving as a cultural hub.

Located in Maniwa, one of Japan's Sustainable Development Goal Future Cities in Okayama Prefecture, GREENable HIRUZEN sits on the scenic Hiruzen Plateau. The facility's mission centers on helping visitors reconnect with nature and discover sustainable ways of living, addressing environmental challenges through individual action and awareness. The complex promotes local harmonious living through educational activities and environmental preservation initiatives.

Visitors can engage with art, architecture, and eco-friendly activities designed to inspire sustainable practices. Bicycle rentals are available daily from 9 AM to 5 PM from April to November, allowing exploration of the surrounding highlands. The facility includes a visitor center where guests can learn about sustainability initiatives and participate in educational programs. The building itself serves as an example of sustainable architecture, demonstrating how structures can be designed, relocated, and repurposed with minimal environmental impact.

GREENable HIRUZEN is located at 1205-220 Hiruzen Kamifukuda, Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture 717-0602. A single venue ticket costs ¥700 for entrance to areas where installations are located. Parking is available for up to 1,000 vehicles at the Hiruzen Kogen Center parking lot. The facility is accessible by car via the Hiruzen area road network, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the Hiruzen Highlands region.
