What other travelers are saying about Kaikyo Yume Tower
We were waiting to take the Kampu ferry to Busan and thought the tower looked interesting, so we dropped over, it's right near the port. It was quiet and easy to travel up. The views are fantastic, across the islands of Japan. Highly recommend!
went around 5pm. this place is very quite only one person came after me. 600 yen and you go to 30 th floor to start, then go to 29th ( which they close at 5pm) and elevator go back down on 28th / F
you see a 360 view of the city, which is very nice.
They no longer offer a discount for foreign tourists so no need to show em your passport :/. The view here is great tho and the ticket is cheap so if you're in the area, stop by. There's a couple levels to the observation deck but there's not really anyone working them, at least when I went, so you can't do much here.
This is so awesome place to visit. It is the tallest building in West Japan. The night view is so beautiful from the top of the tower. There is a corner where couples can tie love lock. Good luck charms and other things are also there. It is a good place to visit with friends and family as well.
Pretty standard tower experience. Part of the big co-op, really enjoyed the views of the islands and water from the observation deck. Daughter enjoyed the stuffed any ufo/gatcha machines. Always a joy to go with very small weekday crowds as well.
Daytime visits offer clear views of the Kanmon Straits, surrounding geography, and ship traffic. Night visits provide illuminated views of the Kanmon Bridge and city lights from Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu. Sunset visits allow you to see both daytime and nighttime views in one trip.
Most visitors spend 30 to 60 minutes at the tower, including elevator time, viewing from the observation deck, and using binoculars. Add extra time if dining at the observation level restaurant.
Yes. The observation deck provides views of Shimonoseki on Honshu and Kitakyushu on Kyushu across the Kanmon Straits. The Kanmon Bridge connecting both islands is clearly visible.
Karato Market is nearby, known for fresh seafood and fugu. The Kanmon Pedestrian Tunnel is a 15-minute walk, allowing visitors to walk under the strait to Kyushu. Akama Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Antoku from the 1185 Battle of Dan-no-ura, is also in the vicinity.
