The Kobe Cruise Concerto is a luxury restaurant cruise ship that offers an elegant dining experience while sailing through Kobe's scenic harbor waters. The ship began service on July 18th, 1997, following Kobe's recovery from the devastating 1995 earthquake. The vessel was conceived as part of the city's revitalization efforts, transforming waterfront dining into a memorable cruise experience that showcases Kobe's maritime heritage.

Measuring 74 meters long and 13 meters wide, the Concerto serves as both a culinary destination and sightseeing platform. The ship's cultural significance lies in its role as a symbol of Kobe's resilience and its position as one of Japan's premier gourmet cruise experiences. From the ship, passengers can enjoy views of the city of Kobe, shipbuilding yards, Cape Wada, Kobe Airport, the Suma Alps mountains, Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, and Awaji Island, providing a comprehensive perspective of the region's diverse landscape.

Passengers can choose from multiple dining experiences featuring creative Cantonese dishes, world-renowned Kobe Beef, and Japanese Teppanyaki prepared by top chefs. French course meals are also available, prepared with professional devotion by onboard chefs. Live classical music accompanies lunch and afternoon tea services, while dinner cruises feature live jazz performances. The ship offers various cruise durations and routes, including twilight cruises that highlight the illumination of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and nighttime harbor views.

The Concerto departs from Kobe Harborland Mosaic, located in the heart of Kobe's tourist district near the iconic Kobe Port Tower. The departure point is easily accessible via JR Kobe Station or Hanshin Kobe-Sannomiya Station, both within walking distance of Harborland. As this is a restaurant cruise ship, outside food and beverages are not permitted aboard. Reservations are required for all dining cruises, with various course options available at different price points depending on the meal selection and cruise duration.

What other travelers are saying about Kobe Cruise Concerto, Hyogo

Had teppanyaki course (5pm session). Food: it was my first time trying Kobe beef and it was melting. Service: they didn’t bring the ordered drinks, until they were reminded. The drinks menu is overpriced. Atmosphere: the chef cooked and served within 30 min, after that he leaves. There was no live music, no additional entertainment, unfortunately.

The evening cruise was just lovely. Had a great time. The city lights on the evening cruise is something I whole heartedly recommend. Food was good along with professional photographers going around to snap your photos (for a few of course). I did the iron chef and it broke down to about 95 bucks a person. Not bad for a cruise and delicious dinner.

You can board the ship without ordering the food here. Free view on third floor outside deck and inside cafe aquamarine (you can sit down without ordering the food or drink). Beside that on first floor on lobby behind piano is also free view. There is also music and song perfomed by local musician inside the ship View is ok at night if you want romantic experience but in my opinion if you want to aee scenery better at day. Great experience and view for 2 hours long. Very recommended.

A cruise to see beautiful Kobe. We went for the tea cruise and it was amazing. The tart served was delicious. The view from the cruise is breathtaking. We were lucky to get inside the cockpit and learn about the ship control. The staffs are very polite.
