What other travelers are saying about NAGASAWA Kobe Brick Warehouse Store
Highly recommended for fountain pen enthusiasts in particular! The staff are very friendly. I was greeted by a lovely gentlemen who got a fresh cup of water, explained that I could sit down, use their dipped pens (& supplies) to try out all their Kobe inks. And boy, did they have an amazing selection!! They happily let me try out their inks for 2 hours and when it came time to buy my various inks and washi, the lovely lady gave me an English Kobe inks leaflet and a free sticker! My experience at the store was fantastic, I will definitely be visiting again when I'm next there! I have already recommended it to my fountain pen friends!
Ok this place is dangerous. If your like me and love fountain pens and interesting ink colours. These guys also have lots of Kobe only inks! Like I said - dangerous!
Wonderful selection of Kobe inks and pens. Had nibs less easily found out of Japan :)) and a nice selection of the limited edition kobe inks as well.
Great branch of this well-known stationery store. Especially have a good range of local Kobe nautical themed goods. Well worth going out of your way to visit!
Located inside a brick warehouse near Kobe Port.
Unlike the Nagasawa Bungu Center, the Brick Warehouse store is more of a cultural and creative shop.
They sell items representative of Kobe (e.g., souvenirs, Kobe tartans, etc.), as well as fountain pens and inks.
There's an ink test station, so it's highly recommended for ink lovers!
I bought the store's exclusive Harbor Blue 🥰.
Plus, you get a free sticker with a minimum purchase!
The beautiful harbor view is right next to it, so I highly recommend a stroll.
P.S. Next door is the old Kobe Port Signal Station, the inspiration for Nagasawa's Kobe Gradation Capless fountain pen, released this year (2025).
The store's hours are relatively short, closing at 7:00 PM, so be careful when you visit.
The store opens Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It is closed on Wednesdays and during New Year's holidays.
Yes. Testing stations are available throughout the store for trying fountain pens, glass pens, and inks from the Kobe INK Monogatari collection.
NAGASAWA provides free fountain pen cleaning service for all customers, regardless of where the pen was purchased. Staff can assist with ink selection and pen maintenance.
The complex houses three restaurants, a furniture store, and an event space. The building is part of Kobe Harborland, which includes additional shopping at umie, a Ferris wheel, and the Anpanman Museum.
