No prior experience is necessary. The club welcomes both complete beginners and experienced riders. Trained instructors guide all sessions to ensure safety and provide a comfortable experience regardless of your skill level. The horses are docile and well-trained, making them suitable for first-time riders.
The Experience Trekking Course costs 8,000 yen or more for approximately 50 minutes. Admission to the facility itself is free. You must wear equestrian boots and helmets during rides, which are available for rental at 300 yen each. The club does not accept credit cards or electronic payments, so bring cash.
Yes, infants and toddlers are admitted to the facility. The club accommodates visitors of all ages, though specific age or height restrictions for actual riding are not detailed in available information. Contact the club directly to confirm requirements for younger children who wish to ride.
The Niikappu Onsen Re-Code no Yu Hotel Hills is located within walking distance from the club. After your horseback riding activity, you can relax in the hot springs at this facility. The area also features the Michi-no-Eki Thoroughbred Road Niikappu roadside station about 5 minutes away by car, where you can find discount coupons and local information.
This year, I stayed at Niikappu Hotel Hills on my fourth trip to Hokkaido. Last year, I didn't have time to go to Horoshiri Equestrian Club, so I went there on the 26th of this month.
The facilities were beautiful, and the place was rich in nature. It was my first time riding a horse, so I was nervous, but the staff were very attentive and instructive, and Apollo Sonic and Sugino Endeavor were very smart, so even beginners like us were able to enjoy the experience with peace of mind. I'm looking forward to visiting Horoshiri Equestrian Club when I visit Hokkaido (Niikappu). I love Hidaka, the town of thoroughbreds.
Although many visitors arrive by large tourist bus, the facility has a spacious feel, and there are plenty of horses and staff, making it a relaxing and enjoyable horse riding facility. There's also a souvenir corner, and the restrooms and rest areas are clean, with great views. I was also impressed by the spaciousness of the riding grounds. There also seem to be long trekking courses, so I highly recommend it.
Not only can you improve your skills, but beginners can also lead horses.
I used this facility as a travel activity and experienced slow-paced horse riding.
The rental equipment was clean and comfortable.
For beginners, we moved in formation over slightly hilly roads, muddy paths, and even through grassy areas.
Thanks to the intelligent horses who know their way around, even amateur riders who only ride by themselves can walk well.
This time, I rode Sugino Endeavor.
I stroked him and said, "Thank you!" and he responded with kind eyes.
It's wonderful that racehorses can use their remaining years to provide a soothing experience for ordinary people like us!
The parking lot is spacious, the facility is new and clean, and the staff were very helpful.
My experience here encouraged me to join a local riding club. I'd like to improve my skills and participate in snow riding. I'd love to visit again!
I made a reservation on the day and took part in the forest walking course. I received a pamphlet with a discount coupon at the roadside station and used it.
Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were hardly any people around.
The instructor and I walked slowly through the forest around the club, chatting as we went. The horses were very docile, and some of them even let us pet them. Entry into the stables was prohibited.
After riding, I was able to have my photo taken with my smartphone.
