Such an amazing place! So much character! The owner has done an amazing job keeping the experience really authentic! And the staff is super lovely! Don't hesitate to stay overnight, you will not forget it!
A very interesting house and location. Ideal if you want to experience a bit of the Japanese country-side life from a century or so ago.
My sister and I had the whole place to ourselves over the New Year holidays. We were a busy group, mostly consisting of elementary school boys, but as is typical of a guesthouse, they explained the rules of the lodge clearly from the start and made sure we understood how we wanted to spend our time, allowing us to have a comfortable stay without being too overly attached. The kids had a blast with the BBQ, rice cooked in a traditional Japanese stove, and a Goemon bath, which made us parents very happy to see them doing so. It was a wonderful experience for my mother, who was tired from the winter break.
Located slightly elevated in the countryside, the location is perfect. The quietness of a winter stay was unexpectedly soothing. Even after returning home, my kids are still reminiscing about their conversation with Kazu. It was a wonderful stay.
A cozy place to experience the nature of Otaki.
The starry sky and sunrise were incredibly beautiful ☆ The air was so pure! The owner's activities in Otaki were also fascinating.
Even the dog got along well.
The interior of the traditional Japanese house was warm and stylish, making it a comfortable stay. It also seemed like fun to hold events like soy sauce making. (^^)
I'd love to stay again during cherry blossom season. 😊
It's a great location with a panoramic view of the countryside.
We enjoyed the Goemon bath, a bonfire, and playing with cute dogs. It really helped us to relax after our city life.
We're also grateful for Kazu's thoughtfulness.
