What other travelers are saying about Osaka Culturarium at Tempozan

Went here for a phenomenal gig last year. The venue was great and had very good facilities. As we exited the gig there was a shop selling a variety of cool items, the owners of the shop encouraged photos, and had some awesome samurai and geisha stuff to take photos with, the shop was fun and there was no pressure to buy anything. The owners were very kind and accommodating, we made a small purchase and they gifted us a lucky cat ornament you can hang on your keys or bag, we were very grateful. This little shop is a must visit!

Such a hidden gem!! My friends and I had so much fun here completely unexpectedly. We aimed on visiting the aquarium but it was closed for maintenance. Upon walking in a super friendly worker ushered us in and was so eager to tell us all about what they had to offer. He took our pictures, showed us the zen gardens, gave us priceless information and had so many amazing recommendations about staying in Osaka. I can’t remember his name but I will remember him forever! He even printed us out a list of his favorite places to visit near our hotel. All of this for free!! It was an unforgettable experience!! After an amazing visit there we also made our way to the cat cafe in the back. It was adorable and my friends who had never been to one were over joyed. Some of the cats did bite or get aggressive so they had collars on to help you know which ones were more friendly. Some of them came straight on over to sit on our laps and others just wanted to play! I would definitely recommend the visit if you have extra time in your trip!!

Mainly for tourists, sell souvenirs and offer kimono/yukata experience, but not many choice compared to other specialized kimono experiences shops. What I enjoyed and loved the most is the rescue cat cafe in the building! All kitties are very cute and can tell are well looked after. I spent a good hour at the cat cafe alone, also ordered a latte there. I will definitely come back for visiting those rescue kitties!❤️😺

For any architects / architecture lovers of Tadao Ando, this is no longer a museum (former Suntory Museum) but a venue for touristic cultural show and a souvenir shop. The building is run down and a shadow of its former glory days. 😒🥹
