Hang your feelings on white threads! ——————————————————— Introduction: ・ Shiraito Falls stands at approximately 20 meters in height. ・The water that supplies Shiraito Falls primarily comes from the melting snow and ice of Mount Fuji. ・In 1936, it was designated as a National Natural Monument and, in 1990, it was acknowledged as one of Japan's "100 best waterfalls" by the Ministry of the Environment. ・As part of the Fujisan Cultural Site, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013. Another waterfall: ・Otodome Falls has a height of 25 meters (82 ft) and is situated merely a five-minute walk away, offering a contrasting and more dynamic cascade. It is characterized as a more forceful and narrower waterfall. Faith: ・ The waterfalls are regarded as sacred by the Shinto practitioners who revere Mount Fuji, thus establishing it as a destination for pilgrimages. Adhere to the rule: ・ Due to their sacred significance and safety issues, swimming in the waterfalls is prohibited. Time allocation: ・It is advisable to allocate at least 2-3 hours for this excursion if one has the flexibility and freedom of self-driving. Car parking fee: 500¥ Shops & Eateries: ・Numerous shops are situated along the route to this stunning sight, providing visitors with ample opportunities to enjoy refreshments or search for souvenirs. Transportation: ・Public transportation options include buses from Shin-Fuji Station, Fujinomiya Station, and Fuji Five Lakes (Fuji-kawaguchiko station), although these services can be sporadic. Ideal time to visit: ・ Generally during the summer, when the falls are abundant with melted snow, and in autumn, when the surrounding maple trees exhibit vibrant hues. Entry fee: ・There is no entry fee to visit. Recommendation: If you have yet to explore Makaino Farm, you will be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Fuji, situated along the path to Shiraito Falls. Consequently, you may want to consider it as a stopover during your travels.

This place is truly beautiful. You get a view of the waterfall with Mount Fuji in the background. You can reconnect with nature and realize how wonderful and perfect God is. On sunny days, you can see a beautiful rainbow that forms over the waterfall. If you visit Mount Fuji, it’s definitely worth stopping by this place—I highly recommend it. There are also shops where you can buy souvenirs and gifts.

Shiraito Falls are among the most beautiful places in Japan, in my opinion. The place is simply magical, exciting, beautiful. The falls are as their name suggests - they look like delicate silk threads flowing. Breathtaking beauty. Admission is free and you can walk around the area. I highly recommend going there and enjoying this mesmerizing beauty.
