An incredible structure with the sense of time travel. It’s worth the trip just to see this building but Maniwa has so many wonderful sites to see, you could enjoy a week here. I recommend going during the sakura blossom period. There are so many trees throughout the town but very few people😍

It features numerous architectural details, and the construction costs are said to have been nearly three times the annual budget of Kuze Town at the time.

The school was established in 1874 (Meiji 7) using the Tsuyama Domain's storehouse in Kuze Village as its school building. This Renaissance-style wooden school building opened in 1907 (Meiji 40) and closed in 1990 (Heisei 2). It is currently a designated Important Cultural Property (building)! You can tour the building!
