What other travelers are saying about Uminonakamichi Seaside Park

A wonderful place for kids at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. We rented bikes and rode around the spacious park, which made exploring much easier. There are many fun facilities where you can stop and play anytime. The children loved the huge jumping hill the most. It’s definitely worth spending at least half a day here.

Beautiful large park. Disc golf course, zoo, and multiple kids play areas on site. Huge area so best traversed with one of the rental bicycles. I went on a very quiet day but I presume it gets very busy during holidays. Lovely for an outdoor day out. Can access via the ferry from the city or the train.

Really big park. I suggest to spend a whole day to explore. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we rented a tandem bike. Will visit again when given the chance. There are food trucks inside if you get hungry with the long walks!

The Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is a sprawling, family-friendly destination perfect for outdoor recreation and relaxation. A major highlight is the extensive network of paths ideal for exploring. Families especially enjoy renting tandem bicycles, making it easy and fun to cover the vast, picturesque grounds together. Visiting in early April offers a stunning bonus: the park transforms into a Sakura (cherry blossom) wonderland. Cycling or strolling beneath blooming cherry trees is a quintessential Japanese spring experience. Beyond cycling, the park caters to children with dedicated play areas, including a popular kids' jumping zone where they can burn off energy. With its beautiful coastal and garden scenery, open spaces, and relaxed atmosphere, the park offers a perfect place for adults to unwind while kids play.

A fantastic park for families. Wide open spaces to run and so many things for kids to do! The playgrounds are wonderful, and you can easily spend the whole day here. More than well worth the entrance fee!
