A kimono is a traditional Japanese garment made from heavier fabric and is worn in cooler months. A yukata is a lighter, cotton version usually worn in summer. The choice depends on the season, so you’ll wear a yukata during warmer months and a kimono in cooler ones.
Yes, kimono and yukata are available for men and children. Hakama (samurai-style pants) can also be arranged for men upon request when booking.
There is no specific age limit. However, children under 100 cm may not be able to participate in the kimono dressing due to size limitations. For families with small children, a private tour is recommended for a more comfortable experience.
The tour will still operate in light rain. Complimentary Japanese-style umbrellas are provided, and rainy conditions can create unique photo opportunities with reflective streets and a quieter atmosphere.
There is no strict dress code, but we recommend wearing comfortable, easy-to-change clothing such as a T-shirt and pants, as you will change into a kimono or yukata at the rental shop.
Yes, you can store your clothes and larger items at the kimono rental shop. However, please keep valuables such as your wallet and phone with you during the tour.
No problem—your guide will ask about your preferences and provide simple, natural posing guidance to help you feel comfortable and look your best.
Your guide will edit the photos and send at least 20 images via Google Drive within three days after the tour.
I had an excellent time with Gota! He made it very fun and had some really interesting information about Asakusa and the surrounding area. And the kimono was beautiful. If you are interested in dressing up I highly recommend!

Great tour!
