Arimatsu Shibori Tie-Dye Workshop and Historic Town Tour

Workshop Agenda

Please choose one of the following workshops:  

・Handkerchief / Tenugui Fabric Dyeing
・T-shirts Dyeing 

9:30 AM - Meet at Nagoya Station then take the train to Arimatsu.
10:20 AM - Arrive at Arimatu-Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum, explore the tie dyeing museum and galleries.
11:15 AM - Walk through the old streets and have lunch.
13:00 PM - Start dyeing workshop.

Try creating your own Shibori-dyed piece under the guidance of skilled artisans. Choose from one of the following workshops:

A) Handkerchief or Tenugui fabric dyeing (shorter workshop; ends earlier)

B) T-shirt dyeing (longer workshop; ends later)

A. Handkerchief / Tenugui Workshop

14:30 PM ‐ Finish the workshop and walk to Arimatsu Station.
15:00 PM ‐ Take the train back to Nagoya Station.
15:30 PM ‐ The tour ends at Nagoya Station.

B. T-Shirts Workshop

15:00 PM ‐ Finish the workshop and walk to Arimatsu Station.
15:30 PM ‐ Take the train back to Nagoya Station. 
16:00 PM ‐ The tour ends at Nagoya Station.

Essentials to Know Before Booking

• This tour involves a fair amount of walking. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

• This tour is stroller accessible.

• This tour is conducted in English. Other languages may be available upon request.

• Mandarin, French, Spanish, German, or Korean-speaking guides may be available. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability.

• The minimum age for participants is 5 years old.

• Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking.

• If no dietary information is provided, we will assume you have no restrictions.

• Advance notice is required to arrange a suitable restaurant for lunch.

• Please bring some cash for lunch, drinks, and shopping.

• This experience is booked on request. Confirmation will be provided within 5 days.

• Advance booking is required.

• Booking cut-off time is 1 week before departure.
