Big modern varied department store. The thing that amazes me was the food and dessert hall at the basement. It's like a mini Harrods but for japanese food. The desserts are marvelous. This is like a distillation of various pastry shops/ Japanese/ Korean foods. Saves you the time to go to individual restaurants if you want a small over view of Japanese dishes. Very practical to go to because of the station location.

Very busy during lunch hours but it's a great atmosphere with lots of things to see. We were especially interested in the food area on the lower ground
We enjoyed an afternoon of shopping at Hankyu in Kita. It was about ten days before Christmas, and my spouse and I found great gifts to bring back to the States. The spaces reserved for pop-up designers allowed independent artisans to sell their creations. That was cool. I also purchased a gently used Haori that was beautiful. That was an exciting purchase for me. Hankyu Department Store also has a two-floor Depachika, a food hall, that has a fantastic array of items for sale. I have never seen anything like it, including the depachikas in Tokyo and Paris. There are even cooking demonstrations that were fun to watch, even though I can't speak Japanese.
I come for beauty brands and have my shopping at Dior, three and addiction. As I knew there is a floor about women shoes, I shop awhile and I got my favourite shoes here in this big sale season. Then went to top floor for f&b, and have my take away dessert :) it is a good place for shopping , just too crowded in weekend.
