Hiroshima Yume Plaza is a commercial and entertainment complex located in the Minami Ward of Hiroshima City, serving as a popular shopping and leisure destination for both locals and tourists. The facility opened in 1994 and has since established itself as one of the city's prominent retail centers, offering a convenient location near the city's main transportation hubs.

The plaza functions primarily as a modern shopping complex featuring approximately 100 specialty stores, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. It caters to diverse visitor needs with fashion boutiques, electronics retailers, lifestyle goods shops, and a variety of dining options ranging from traditional Japanese cuisine to international restaurants. The complex includes a cinema multiplex that screens both domestic and international films, making it a comprehensive entertainment venue beyond just shopping.

Visitors can explore the multi-level structure at their leisure, with the mall designed to provide a comfortable indoor shopping experience regardless of weather conditions. The food court and restaurant floor offer opportunities to sample local Hiroshima specialties, including the city's famous okonomiyaki, alongside standard Japanese and Western fare. The cinema complex provides English subtitles for select international releases, though most screenings are in Japanese.

The plaza is accessible via the JR Hiroshima Station, located approximately 1.5 kilometers away, with regular bus services connecting the station to the complex in about 10 minutes. Visitors can also reach the venue using the Hiroshima Electric Railway streetcar system, alighting at nearby stops and walking a short distance. For those driving, the facility offers paid parking with space for several hundred vehicles.

What other travelers are saying about Hiroshima Yume Plaza

I loved this place as they had a wide range of prepared products along with household products. I bought an assorted variety of Japanese snacks that are of good quality. All reasonably priced to give friends as souvenirs. Service: 5/5 friendly and helpful staff here. They’re located right in the shopping centre.

Located on the pedestrian street, this souvenir shop knows exactly how to catch the attention of tourists. 🤔 However, all the products I wanted to buy were more expensive than the same ones sold at "Youme supermarket ゆめマート サンモール", which is located in the same street, at Sunmall, 300 meters away. 😍
Hiroshima Local Products Plaza is a great place to discover products from Hiroshima and the surrounding nearby areas. Here you can find local honey sourced from the Miyajima and other local bee farms as well as local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cooking ingredients, jams, snacks, spreads and more. This Shopping Plaza has a very local vibe, but there is an information center at the back with a variety of travel guides, maps and information for international travelers as well. Free samples of different seasonal items are at the front of the shop to entice people to come in and shop. Have a look for the special seasonal items such as the ornate dolls on display for Girls day (in March) on display from the end of January. There is very little English in terms of labeling, but the staff are eager to help and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Unfortunately most products are in plastic packaging and single-use plastic bags are in use, but they are happy for you to use your own bag if you have one. There are also many products in glass or metal containers which can more easily be recycled or reused in Japan.
Best place to by traditional snacks, honey, and other related Hiroshima food. one of the great places to test and buy Hiroshima’s traditional omiyage.
Bought an amazing soy sauce here.
