The Gujo Odori is an annual dance festival held in Gujo Hachiman and recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage event. It is one of the most celebrated folk festivals in Japan, known for its traditional dances and the way it brings the entire community together each summer. The museum visit includes exhibits and demonstrations covering the festival's history and significance.
Lunch is not included. A midday break of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes is provided in Gujo Hachiman's old town, where a variety of local restaurants and cafes are available.
Yes, guests who have arranged accommodation in or around Gujo Hachiman may end the tour there at 16:00. Please inform your guide in advance so the necessary arrangements can be made. Any onward travel costs from Gujo Hachiman will be at the guest's own expense.

Very insightful and scenic tour of Gujo (from Takayama)
Insightful tour to view and learn about the castle and the town. Learnt about warring samurai clans, town design centric on water, local folk dances for few months in a year. Had great fun making replicas of gunkan and sushi. It originated from this town. Hemy was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend this day tour!
